i rode away on the soft pink rays of
the sun today.
they seemed to encompass a sadness
so beautiful, reaching from within itself-
the bright golden and the sharp powerful of red
slowly contrasting to form
a hue of mystifying gentle orange.

then i swam into the blue green
waters of the ocean finding
first the vibrant colours of the corals
outstanding in their different manner
swimming as if
they had not a care, not a sign of worry
in their bubbly aquamarine world.
then i swam deeper,
darker till the waters took on a rich
purple-black
so thick i had to use my flashlight
to look clearly.

and by the time i resurfaced-
it was already night.

a overwhelming sky
so vast and so black.
and yet
around the full moon
played a sweet ring
of colours.
a rainbow.
